KS2 Cross Country

This week, 155 children in KS2 signed up to compete in the 2017/18 House Cross Country.

It was a dry but very windy afternoon but the children did not let the wind stop them! Last year’s winners for years 3/4 was Ocean and for years 5/6 was Polar.

Year 3/4 girls got the afternoon underway followed by the 3/4 boys with 5/6 girls and boys finishing off the afternoon. Every children that took part signed up to represent their house to try and earn valuable house points for this term’s total with 50 points up for grabs for the winners of both the year 3/4 and 5/6 race.

Points were calculator with every child’s finishing place score being added together with the rest of the runners in their house and dividing by the total of amount of runners, this provides us with the mean average score and the lowest score is the winner. The girls and boys scores from both year groups are added together to get a final score for the 3/4 race and year 5/6 race.
Winners this year:

Year 3/4 – Mountain

Year 5/6 – Polar (retained the trophy for a 2nd year)

Well done to all of the runners who took part.

Keep it up!
