Jeans for Genes Day – Friday 23 September 2022

Once again Lincoln Gardens will be participating in the ‘Jeans for Genes’ fundraising day on Friday 23 September 2022. Jeans for Genes is a charity that supports children with life-altering genetic disorders. All children (and staff!) are invited to wear their jeans to school instead of their usual school skirts or trousers – normal school uniform tops must still be worn – trainers will be permitted. As this is a fundraising event, we are asking for a suggested donation of 50p; please send the correct money into school with your child. Nursery Applications – September 2022

We are still taking applications for our nursery intake, commencing September 2022. If your child will be four years of age between 01 September 2022 and 31 August 2023, they will be eligible to start nursery this September. If you would like to make application, please either telephone or email for an application form and we will be pleased to explain the process to you.

World Thinking Day

World Thinking Day is tomorrow, Tuesday the 22nd February. The day was first introduced to mark the birthdays of the founders; Lord and Lady Baden-Powell and for young people to celebrate being part of what is now an Internation Movement. If your child is a member of the Guide or Scouting movement, they are very welcome to attend school in their uniform to demonstrate their support on this very special day.

Class Christmas Parties

The children will be having their class Christmas parties on Thursday 16 December in the afternoon. Children may come to school in their party outfits but please ensure their clothing is appropriate for the weather and school. Please can we remind you that children play outside at this time of year, weather permitting, and will need a coat and suitable footwear for school every day.
