This half-term Year 2’s theme is ‘The Splendid Seaside’ and the children have been learning about the seaside.
On Thursday 14 July Ash 1 and Ash 2 are having a ‘Seaside Day’ and the children are invited to come into school in clothes they would normally wear to the seaside i.e. t-shirt, shorts and trainers/canvas shoes. Please do not send your child to school in sandals or flip flops, as the children will be very active during the day.
The weather forecast is looking very promising, so please make sure that your child has sun cream, a sunhat and sunglasses to protect them on this day as we will be outside more than usual; the school’s usual sun cream policy applies. Your child will also need their water bottle.
As is a must when visiting the seaside, the children will be treated to an ice cream cone – please inform your child’s class teacher, in writing, if your child has any allergies, before lunchtime tomorrow.
