My son is currently in year 4 and he has Autism Spectrum Disorder. My son started his learning journey at Lincoln Gardens in the Nursery. He was non-verbal, confused, at times challenging. He did not like to share, play with others or allow anyone into his personal space. He had very little danger awareness and little understanding of the world around him. Over the years I have watched my son grow into a very happy, sweet, caring boy who loves to engage in his learning, has friends and shows care to all his peers, follows all school rules and is able to verbally communicate with adults and his peers. LGPS has always been very inclusive to my son ensuring he has the same opportunities as all the other children in both his learning and other things. Such as being able to attend school trips, after school activities, breakfast club and sports days. Over the years it has given us great pleasure to see him joining in all these activities knowing he is safe and happy in school. A great amount of support and nurture has always been shown to my son by all staff that have worked with him. Their hard work and care has paid a huge tribute to the amount of progress our son has made. As a family we couldn't be more proud of our son and we are ever thankful to LGPS for their constant empathy and inclusive vision which is shaping my little boy into the wonderful young man he will become.

I like that Mrs Bradley (SENDCo) is in the playground in the mornings and is always happy to speak to you. When I have had concerns or requests, they have been dealt with efficiently and effectively. My son is very happy to approach Mrs Bradley about anything. My son has everything in place that he needs to help him throughout the day without him being segregated or treated differently from the rest of his class and without disruption to the rest of the children in his class.
